Developing a website
Developing a website

Planning is very important ,as most project managers would tell you the more planning that goes in the project the more efficient the project will be executed. When designing a site it is important to plan carefully. One needs to look at what the website has to achieve and by meeting those needs effectively you will get a very useful website.

Website technology can are generally be grouped into two groups:  Client side  - this is when code is translated by the browser .Examples of languages used in client side coding include HTML, XHTML , Css and xml.

The server side  - this is code executed on the server . Examples of languages used are asp, .net ,cgi , java and php .

These both technologies have their advantages as well as disadvantages . It is vital that one looks at the most important functions the website is suppose to full fill. A site that needs to link to a database is best developed using server side scripting. The sites that use server side scripting tend to be more expensive to develop but due to the growth of opens source software has meant a considerable cost reduction. A site that only needs a few static pages is best developed using HTML and css.

A lot of the times sites will include both technologies working together for greater functionality.

Despite what technology is behind a website the fundamental principles do not change . A site must have a clear function which it performs and it must be developed using valid code. The navigation should be user friendly and it must be accessible as should all sites.

before one takes on the task of developing a website one has to clearly plan for it . A list of handy tips to ensure that goes smoothly would include:
